Basically, we have a Mood Board, then we make projects (and process videos) using that Mood Board for inspiration. We will switch making the mood boards everyone month, and July I picked the images! I made this background a few month's back following a tutorial by DeeDee Catron . I liked it so much, I decided to recreate it on a tag.   One of my favorite techniques is using stamps to create watercolor paintings. The trick is to stamp the image with a light colored water-soluble ink, then color it with watercolors. I really like how this flower from the Tim Holtz Flower Garden Stamp Set turned out. It really looks like I painted it myself! Be sure to click the links above to check out DeeDee's tutorial as well as my journal page if you haven't seem them! This page started with a tag I saw on Kassa Hayselden’s Instagram feed . She somehow takes a bunch of Dylusions Paint colors and Dina Wakley Paint colors and makes beautiful, colorful projects. I saw this tag and had to try to recreate it. Since the tag is so colorful, I felt I needed some black and white to set it off. If you have been following me for awhile, it is probably no shock I am in love with Dina Wakley. I stalk her blog and instagram. I have every book and DVD she has put out. I am obsessed. But usually when I make a page inspired by her, it ends up looking exactly like her style. I have been trying lately to make pages taking her techniques but not copying her. It's hard when I like her style so much. I don't think I succeeded in making this page look less like hers and more like mine, but oh well.      Lately, I have had very little time to craft. However yesterday, by some miraculous divine intervention, I had about an hour for my art. So I sit down to make something and.nothing.happened.        I was sooooo frustrated. Oh and for added pressure, I wanted to film my process because my YouTube channel has been so neglected. Whenever I am feeling uninspired, I go to Pinterest. While I was there I came across some a tag done by Tim Holtz for his web series, 12 Tags of 2014. I never participate, but for some reason I just had to recreate this tag.      And so, this tag was born. Not as good as coming up with my own original idea, but I will take what I can get.
