It is time for a new month of Our Mixed Media Moods!

What is our Mixed Media Moods?
~Hosted by Deedee Catron and myself, we create a mood board every month and create projects around it, using the photos as inspiration!

Here is May's Mood Board:

I just love the mustard/navy combo! So, I created an art journal page using the navy as inspo. And I added gold instead of mustard, as I'm obsessed with a pop of gold. I used vintage papers in my background, drawing from the stack of books and vintage typewriter.

    I just love how that deep blue ink traveled...very nice job, Jenn! As always, you continue to inspire!

      Thank you so much! I love the technique of applying ink with the tube, and I never get tired of watching it flow and travel. Haha. Thanks again :)

Our Mixed Media Moods "Trust"

We are back, baby! DeeDee and I took a little break but we are back with our monthly collab "Our Mixed Media Moods. Every month one of us creates a mood board and then we create projects based on that mood board. We also create detailed process videos of our projects. So without further ado.... Here is this month's mood board! We are using transparent layers, transparency, fabric, stitching, text, vintage book text, wood, fibers, vintage sewing patterns, tissue paper, machine sewing, encaustic, weaving, scribbles and mark making, browns, tans, whites, creams, vintage colors For my project I used a lot of elements from the board. I started with using the color scheme. I also used transparent layers and book text. I used some resin papers and machine sewing. I even tried hand stitching.
