NaNoJouMo 2015 Day #18 (Art Journal Page - "Tiny Delights")

I called this page 'Tiny Delights' because in each tiny circle there are little embellishments that make me happy. Each circle has embellishments that I love and have been hoarding for awhile, and it feels good to get them out an all on one page. I prefer using my embellishments in this way because there are a ton to look at all in one place. Although this is not my usual style, I had fun playing with watercolor and building the little circles of embellishments. NaNoJouMo 2015 Day #17 (Art Journal Page - "Artful Delight")

Another page in my journal trying out an idea of an abstract canvas. I like this one better than the flowers because it has more bright colors, which is what I want. Again, I'm not sure if this will turn into a canvas but I am sure having fun playing with paint and colors!   This page's process video: Supplies Used: Liquitex Light Modeling Paste: http://amzn.to/1LypV5R Finnabair Stencil “Honeycomb”: http://amzn.to/1LypU1X Liquitex Super Heavy Gesso: http://amzn.to/1XpFROK Golden Fluid Acrylic in “Hansa Yellow Medium”: http://amzn.to/1LypNDp Golden Fluid Acrylic in “Quinacridone Magenta”: http://amzn.to/1XpGbwY Golden High Flow Acrylic in “Fluorescent Pink”: http://amzn.to/1XpGdoy Golden Heavy Body Acrylic in “Quinacridone Crimson”: http://amzn.to/1IgqbX2 Golden Heavy Body Acrylic in “Flourescent Magenta”: http://amzn.to/1LyptEJ Liquitex Acrylic Ink in “Vivid Lime Green”: http://amzn.to/1LyoVyI Liquitex Acrylic I

NaNoJouMo 2015 Day #16 (Art Journal Page - 'Abstract Floral')

I recently cleaned out and moved around my craft space which left me with a lot of empty wall space to fill. So, I thought I would try out some ideas for canvases in my art journal. This page is just finger painting/smearing and drippage. I feel like it needs something at the bottom, like something that resembles a vase. While I like this page of abstract flowers, but I don't know if it will make it to a canvas. NaNoJouMo 2015 Day #14 (Art Journal Page - "Mystics Say")

Another page complete for NaNoJouMo 2015 ! Today’s page was inspired by Danielle Donaldson’s Book,  Creative Girl   Danielle Donaldson’s Blog: www.danielledonaldson.com   She does amazing layering with watercolor as well as incorporating paper and fabric in her work. When I saw a tutorial she did on layering paper and fabric and then creating a watercolor painting, I had to try it.   I love the idea of making paper/fabric hats and dresses for these Dina Wakley Girl Stamps. They are so versatile, and I love finding new ways to use them. It is also an excellent way of using up all those paper and fabric scraps I have been hoarding. (I knew I was right in keeping them! haha)  I also love the way Danielle adds 'found poetry' into her work. I had to try that too.   Product List: Strathmore Visual Journal (Mixed Media Vellum): http://amzn.to/1HuVLQw Dina Wakley “Face in the Crowd” Stamp: http://amzn.to/1QP5V68 Distress Ink in “Antique Linen”:

NaNoJouMo 2015 (Art Journal Page - "Express Faith")

Another super quick page for NaNoJouMo 2015!   Today’s page was inspired by this tag I found in my stash. I like it so much, I wanted to make a page for it.      How I Made the Tag: This tag has a very water-y blend of Dina Wakley’s Magenta & Lemon paint. They make this gorgeous orange color when they mix. After the water paint was applied (very haphazardly), I applied the magenta paint thru a Heidi Swapp circle stencil. I then stamped a flower stamp with teal ink over the background. I stamped my focal flower on watercolor paper and fussy cut it. After it was cut, I colored it in using Watercolor pencils. I sewed a piece of book page and a strip of painted deli paper together and grouped everything on my tag. The final step was going over the edges with a black ink pad. NaNoJouMo 2015 Day #13 (Art Journal Page - "Little Talks")

Day #13 of NaNoJouMo 2015  and I am apparently on a paint drippage kick. This time it's Gelatos.   The title of this page is "Little Talks" because it's all those little positive things we say (or should say) to ourselves. NaNoJouMo 2015 Day #12 (Art Journal Page - "You are Shining")

Day #12 of NaNoJouMo !     These last few days I feel like I really dialed it in. Which would be fine, except when I put something out there on YouTube I feel like it should have taken me a lot of time. I know, it's silly.   You are seeing my process for NaNoJouMo. You are seeing how I work with a daily art journaling challenge. This is real. Haha.   I don't have a lot of time, so some pages will be less involved than others. And that is just how it is right now.  So this page is all about using some of my favorite colors and these broad strokes of movement throughout a piece that I am really loving. The Cracked Pistachio Distress color is really the perfect light teal. I just love it.   YouTube Process Video for this Page: PRODUCT LIST: Dina Wakley Stencil “Striped Leaves”: http://amzn.to/1RXJmuh Dina Wakley Mask “Graphic Shapes”: http://amzn.to/1OMy12s Dina Wakley Acrylic in "Magenta": http://amzn.to/1SQUGJq Distress Spray
