She does amazing layering with watercolor as well as incorporating paper and fabric in her work. When I saw a tutorial she did on layering paper and fabric and then creating a watercolor painting, I had to try it.

I love the idea of making paper/fabric hats and dresses for these Dina Wakley Girl Stamps. They are so versatile, and I love finding new ways to use them.

It is also an excellent way of using up all those paper and fabric scraps I have been hoarding. (I knew I was right in keeping them! haha)

I also love the way Danielle adds 'found poetry' into her work. I had to try that too.

Our Mixed Media Moods "Trust"

We are back, baby! DeeDee and I took a little break but we are back with our monthly collab "Our Mixed Media Moods. Every month one of us creates a mood board and then we create projects based on that mood board. We also create detailed process videos of our projects. So without further ado.... Here is this month's mood board! We are using transparent layers, transparency, fabric, stitching, text, vintage book text, wood, fibers, vintage sewing patterns, tissue paper, machine sewing, encaustic, weaving, scribbles and mark making, browns, tans, whites, creams, vintage colors For my project I used a lot of elements from the board. I started with using the color scheme. I also used transparent layers and book text. I used some resin papers and machine sewing. I even tried hand stitching.
