Art Journal Page for "Our Mixed Media Moods" Collaboration with DeeDee Catron

It's a new month, so that means DeeDee Catron and myself have challenged eachother to create projects and process videos using a mood board. This month DeeDee created the board and it is so inspiring. There is so much to pull from.

WHAT IS "OUR MIXED MEDIA MOODS"?
-It is a monthly collaboration between DeeDee Catron and myself. Each month we take turns creating a mood board, then we both create projects using that mood board for inspiration. We film process videos for our projects and post them to YouTube. We encourage other artists to use the mood board and play along! There is a link up on DeeDee's blog to share your project with us.

This month there is a $25 GiftCard to Michael's Art & Craft Store up for grabs.
-All you have to do is create a project using the mood board and then link it up to DeeDee's blogpost. We will choose one random winner!

MY PROJECT:

THE PROCESS VIDEO:

I was inspired by the neutral tones sprinkled throughout the mood board, but especially in the weaving in the middle bottom picture.

I also added some "wood grain" elements in the form of the kraft colored bits. I think the kraft color fits in perfectly.

I also pulled from the teal colors in the board and used some teal papers in my collaged background and some light teal coloring created with Distress Crayons mixed with gesso.

Don't forget to check out DeeDee's Blogpost to see her project, watch her video & link up your own project for a chance at that giftcard!

Thanks so much for looking!

Our Mixed Media Moods "Trust"

We are back, baby! DeeDee and I took a little break but we are back with our monthly collab "Our Mixed Media Moods.
